I am Terry Frederick,
I paint, draw, carve etc. what I see in my head or before me. I am always looking for things that at once speak to me, make me stop, look and maybe take a picture. Naturally what follows that is I will always be looking for new ways and new things to paint on or carve on etc. Yes, I just love to create. I put on music and just start working. It doesn't matter if its painting, carving, pyrography, Christmas ornaments or glass etching etc. Just let me create. It's my freedom and my joy. Check out my Best Sellers page to see what I am about.
My home is in Everett, WA. where I spends many hours traveling and visiting art shows & galleries and spending time with family & friends. I also donate paintings to be auctioned each year to raise money for charities. I only show my art in my studio, on my web sites, Schack Art Center Everett, WA. and Social Media. I just turned 78 so I have stopped showing at art fairs, just to much work anymore.
My studio is in my home so it's only open by appointment. I am a 2 & 3 D artist and have been painting for many years using Oils, Pencils, Pastels, Acrylics on canvas, paper, glass & Pyrography. My favorite medias are Pencil on paper, Acrylic, carving, Pyrography and glass etchings. Nature has always been my favorite subject and the wonderful beauty there is in Nature. I have also enjoyed combining multiple pencil drawing into one drawing with the aid of a computer. It makes for an interesting drawing. See as example my 39 Scout in the Motorcycles Gallery or the Mukilteo Lighthouse in the Landscape Gallery. Both are 3 separate pencil drawings. In my spare time I love to make models out of wood, paper, and plastic.
I do accept commissions - there are some limitations; First and foremost does the project fall within the type of art I actually do; just because I or any artist has artistic talent doesn't mean I am able to create every type of subject. Time is also a factor; sometimes I simply do not have the time to fulfill a commission due to pre existing obligations, or the proposed project limited time frame. Lastly I reserve the right to refuse all commissions should the request, due to its content or intended usage, be unreasonable. To submit a request for a commissioned piece of art just click on commission.
